We’re pleased to introduce you to one of our newest GROUP Contractors team members, Eric Fauveau. As a Project Estimator, Eric is responsible for calculating the time, labor and materials costs needed for each job and for putting together bids for each of our client’s projects. Eric joins our team after years of proven success in the field, and we can’t wait to see how he’ll continue to help us grow and improve. Get to know Eric a little better by checking out his answers to a short Q&A session we had!
Hometown: Baton Rouge
What attracted you to GROUP? The opportunity for advancement as well to help this company grow are what attracted me to GROUP. When I joined GROUP there was a great need to advance the way we perform in estimating. With my knowledge of the industry and experience in estimating, I feel it is a great fit that allows me to help us better perform and become more successful as a team.
What most excites you about your role with GROUP? The challenges of being given the position I am in and rising to the task to help this company grow and become more successful going forward. We work in a very competitive time in our industry. GROUP has been very successful in years past and I hope to bring a new level of creative thinking which allows us to think outside the box to meet our clients’ goals and give us a competitive advantage.
What’s the best piece of advice you ever received? Family comes first, your work will still be there tomorrow. At GROUP, I have found that we are indeed a team, and whenever there is a personal matter that needs attention, there is always another team member willing to help out and lend a hand to help accomplish our goal while allowing you to take care of your family first. For this, I am very grateful and proud to be part of such a great group.
When not working, how do you like to spend your time? Most of my time is spent taking care of my four children and all the excitement that comes with them. Outside of family life, I enjoy the outdoors, mainly fishing, and traveling.
